***************************************************************** The Elder Scrolls III MORROWIND: Near-Greet Plugin ***************************************************************** Index: 1. Installation 2. Playing the Plugin 3. Feedback ***************************************************************** 1. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN ***************************************************************** To install the plugin, unzip the files into the Morrowind/Data Files directory. ***************************************************************** 2. PLAYING THE PLUGIN ***************************************************************** From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box next to the near-greet.esp file. Near Greet changes the parameters by which NPCs determine whether or not to greet you. You now must be very close to the NPC, and you must stay there for somewhat longer than the default. In practice, you should be able to walk up to an NPC and have a near-instantaneous greeting. However, you'll be able to run through crowds without every NPC greeting you on the way. Note that NPCs that are walking may nott greet you (you fall out of the distance with every footstep) unless you run in front of them and stop them. I actually find this to be a little more realistic. You can still initiate a textual conversation at any time by pressing Space, of course. ***************************************************************** 3.
